I created this community because, despite the forums out there for learning and practicing Irish, I felt that the posting and threaded comment possibilities on DW would be conducive to potentially going a bit deeper.
It's open to anyone who wants to post in Irish, ask questions about the language, vent about the genitive case, etc.
I live in the US, in a city with a native speaker population of approx zero. I started studying Irish on Duolingo in late 2014; I've dropped off of Duolingo largely because I got a bit tired of the interface and its limitations, but I'm still attending the IRL meetups that happen in my city and finding assorted other ways to learn.
